The objective of the present investigation was to determine how the learning styles are related to the social skills of the cadets of IV Year of Cavalry of the Military School of Chorrillos - 2017. The focus was on a quantitative, correlational descriptive research of non-experimental design. The population was composed of 35 cadets, who were given the Neuro-linguistic Programming Questionnaire (NLP) by Dunn et al. (1979) consisting of 24 questions with a scale of five categories of responses referred to the variable learning styles; and the Golstein Social Skills Checklist consisting of 50 questions with a scale of five categories of responses referred to the variable social skills. The analysis corresponding to the results of the survey was carried out, arriving at the empirical demonstration that a majority supports or positively considers the requirements of the indicators and the dimensions proposed in the instrument; this was broadly corroborated and contrasted using chi square. 14 cadets use more Kinesthetic Style, 11 Cadets Visual Style and 10 cadets the Auditory Style. Also, 10 cadets have a very proficient level of social skills, and 25 the Competent level. It was concluded that learning styles are significantly related to the social skills of the cadets of IV Year of Cavalry of the Military School of Chorrillos - 2017.
