This study was realized in the Simarouba amara (Aublet) “marupa” and Cedrelinga cateniformis (Ducke) “tornillo” plantations of 6, 17, 27, 34 y 43 years old, they are located in the Forestry Research and Education Center Puerto Almendra which belongs to the Faculty of Forestry Sciences –UNAP, Iquitos-Perú, it was given with the purpose to evaluate the oxygen production in those plantations; all the trees were inventoried, which were presented in each plantation and the quantification of the oxygen production was done through the difference of carbon storage in trees and its capacity to sequester carbon dioxide from the environment. The results show that in the plantation of Cedrelinga cateniformis of 43 years old, had the highest productive value of oxygen of 17,04 tO2/tree, with an annual increase of 0,40 t/O2/tree; followed by the plantation of 34 years old with 15,82 tO2/tree, with an annual increase of 0,47 t/O2/tree; and finally in the plantation of 27, 43 and 34 years old in Simarouba amara, it has been found the production of 2,94 tO2/tree y 2,91 tO2/tree respectively, having an annual increase of 0,11 tO2/tree, 0,09 tO2/tree y 0,07 tO2/tree; concluding that the oxygen production in the plantations of Simarouba amara “marupá tree” y Cedrelinga cateniformis “tornillo tree” are influenced by the age of the plantation.
