In the curret context, cybersecurity has become a critical priority for companies due to the increase in cyberattacks (Kaspersky, 2022). The G.T. company has faced various vulnerabilities in its network, highlighting the need for a robust cybersecurity framework to improve its security practices and protect its digital assets. This study aims to develop and implement a cybersecurity framework that allows diagnosing and mitigating the information vulnerabilities in the G.T. company's network, thereby strengthening its security posture and serving as a reference for future cases in the industry (ISO, 2021; NIST, 2018). To achieve this goal, an exhaustive investigation on cybersecurity was carried out, focusing on the best practices and internationally recognized standards, such as ISO 27001 and the NIST framework. A detailed analysis of the previous cyberattacks suffered by the G.T. company was conducted, including the study of the types of malware and the vulnerabilities exploited in these incidents (NIST, 2018). The proposed cybersecurity framework includes a series of critical steps: raising awareness and training personnel, developing specific policies and procedures, continuously monitoring the network, effectively responding to incidents, implementing corrective measures, and constantly evaluating the security framework. These measures were designed to address the specific weaknesses of the company's network and improve its ability to respond to cyber threats (ISO, 2021). The results indicate that the application of the cybersecurity framework allowed the identification and significant reduction of vulnerabilities in the G.T. company's network. Stricter security policies were implemented, system configurations were improved, and clear procedures for managing security incidents were established. Additionally, greater awareness was achieved among employees regarding safe information handling practices (Kaspersky, 2022). In conclusion, the implementation of the cybersecurity framework not only improved the security of the G.T. company's network but also established a solid foundation for future improvements in its security posture. This study highlights the importance of an integrated and adaptive approach to corporate cybersecurity and provides a model that can be replicated in other organizations with similar needs (ISO, 2021; NIST, 2018).
