This research is about the concentrations of the chemical agents of the S.M.A.W welding process with a 7018 coated electrode in the metalworking sector in the companies BAUTISTA ESTRUCTURAS S.A.C. and METAL COVERAGE BIHULIS E.I.R.L. in the city of Arequipa in 2019. Taking into account the chemical agents to which the welding process workers of both companies are exposed. For this, a monitoring of chemical agents was performed using the NIOSH 7703 methodology specifically of the metallic smoke parameters Al, Sb, As, Cd, Cu, Cr, Mn, Hg, Mo, Ni, Pb, Se, Zn established in D.S. 015-2005-SA: Allowable Limit Values for chemical agents in the work environment and Annex N ° 15 of the D.S. 024-2016-EM: -Occupational Exposure Limits for chemical agents. The measurements made were obtained by using 4 SENSYDINE (GILIAN) model BDX-II sampling pumps; NIOSH 7703 methodology, from the beginning to the end of the working day, lasting 8 hours for 4 days and in two different production areas corresponding to each company. Two monitoring of chemical agents were carried out, the first by the Bach. Sergio Mestas and Bach. Maria Cruz and the second in charge of the company BIOAMBIENTAL CONSULTING S.R.L. to compare information. The measurements evidenced that the parameters of metallic fumes corresponding to Manganese (Mn) exceeded the permissible limit values established in the Regulation of Allowable Limit Values for the work environment approved by Supreme Decree 015-2005-SA. In the case of BAUTISTA ESTRUCTURAS S.A.C. In the Manganese (Mn) parameter, I exceed the permissible limit values according to the following detail: welder 1 exceeds 0.2337 mg / m3 on average, welder 2 exceeds 0.2435 mg / m3 on average. While in the Zinc (Zn) parameter I exceed the permissible limit values according to the following detail: welder 1 exceeds an average of 2.3405 mg / m3, welder 2 exceeds an average of 2.2395 mg / m3. In the case of the BIHULIS E.I.RL METALLIC COVERAGE. In the Manganese (Mn) parameter, I exceed the permissible limit values according to the following detail: welder 3 exceeds 0.23463 mg / m3 on average, welder 4 exceeds 0.23715 mg / m3 on average. These concentrations of chemical agents could cause deterioration in the health of workers.
