The research aimed to determine the relationship between stress and job performance among teachers at educational institution Nº 159 "Glorioso 10 de October", Lima, 2023. The methodological design employed was quantitative and correlational descriptive. To gather information, two different questionnaires were used: one aimed at assessing the level of stress experienced by teachers (Teacher Stress Questionnaire ED-6, 2015) and another focused on self-assessment of teaching performance (Teacher Performance Self-Assessment Questionnaire, 2009). These questionnaires were administered to a sample of 44 teachers from educational institution Nº 159 "Glorioso 10 de October," representing a total population of 85 individuals. The results revealed that the predominant stress level among participants was low, and despite this, overall job performance was satisfactory. This study successfully established a direct relationship between the two variables, determined through hypothesis testing using the Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient. This coefficient yielded a value of 0.564, indicating a strong and positive relationship between both variables. The results show a significance level of p=0.01, leading to the conclusion that the research hypothesis is valid. These findings are of great importance in the workplace, highlighting the need to address stress in the work environment due to its potential negative impact on teachers' performance and consequently on the educational institution.
