The objective of this research was to evaluate the costs and times of the photogrammetric survey with a drone versus conventional topography with a total station for the delimitation of the marginal strip of the Chicama River - La Libertad, 2023. The research had a comparative descriptive design. The sample was built along the segment of the river from the Careaga Bridge + 6Km. The results allow us to conclude regarding the cost evaluation, that the drone photogrammetric method has a cost of only 45% of the costs of the normal topographic method, highlighting the advantage in field work costs where in the photogrammetric method per drone has only 38% of the costs with conventional surveying, regarding time, this is reduced from 15 days to 7 days, that is, it reduces the topographic survey time by 53%, making it more advantageous and competitive.
