This research was conducted with the aim of relating vehicle congestion with noise pollution in saturated public transport routes in the district of Piura during 2019. The type of study was correlational in scope, with a sample consisting of 4 saturated roads in the district of Piura. The methodological guide used to select the points of the greatest vehicular congestion in the city of Piura was the NTP-ISO 1996-2. Monitoring was carried out from Monday to Friday, for 2 hours (12:00 pm - 2:00 pm) in 10 minute periods, in one direction of the road per day. Concerning the variable vehicle congestion, the section of Grau Avenue presented the most congestion; however, the sections of Grau Avenue and Don Bosco Avenue had the highest noise levels. For the study of data, an analysis of the relationship between vehicle congestion and measured noise levels was carried out, using Pearson's correlation with a significance level of p=0.05; from which it is concluded that the relationship between vehicle congestion and noise pollution in 50% of the sections evaluated shows a good significant and inversely proportional correlation.
