The objective of the present study is to assess the influence of the use of the 5S methodology on the productivity of the electrical and naval machinery workshops of the Industrial Services of the Navy, considering that said methodology historically tends to increase productivity by approximately 50% when implemented correctly. The research that has been developed is descriptive and non-experimental in nature and has been carried out through Convenience Non-Probabilistic Sampling, in which the selection of elements is based on the availability and accessibility that the researcher has to choose them, with the instruments being the records of the COLPA (5'S) audits and the productivity data collected from the electrical and naval machinery workshops. The Spearman correlation test indicated a moderate correlation (𝑟𝑠=0.441) between the implementation of the 5S methodology and production in the electrical and naval machinery workshops of the Industrial Services of the Navy. With this data, we can conclude that the 5S methodology has a positive influence on the moderate productivity of the mentioned workshops, which is why it should continue to be implemented to maintain high production levels and thus meet the objectives.
