The Regional Governors, authorities elected through democratic election, are not benefited with immunity and in this sense, before an accusation with criminal content, they may be subject to police arrests or preventive prisons dictated by the Judicial Power and in those situations, on the one hand, the addresses of Regional Governments are affected and, on the other hand, if they have been unfounded complaints, family, social and political damage is caused to the regional authority. It is for this reason that this research topic has been chosen because it is considered important for democracy to ensure that these authorities are not victims of excesses, either because they are not from the same political line as the central government and this protection would be feasible through to grant them immunity with respect to criminal acts that are committed in the exercise of their function, it should be indicated that although to date there is no such prerogative for these authorities, if it exists for others (there is immunity from process and immunity from trial) that establishes the Political Constitution of the State in force (1993). Thus, the purpose of this investigation is to determine whether it is feasible to grant immunity to the Regional Governors, as to date the congressmen of the Republic have it, who, like the governors, are elected by popular mandate. The sources of information are the 1993 Political Constitution of the State, the specialized reports of the Congress of the Republic, opinion articles in specialized magazines by recognized authors and other constitutional law treaties, being the period of the study's evolution since 1993 To the date.
