ABSTRACT The main objective of this thesis is to verify that the methodology of the Earned Value allows the control of the scope, cost and term of the heading of earth moving in productive mining units for a construction company. For them it was considered an applied and descriptive research for which up to 3 validation instruments were used, compilation of historical information of projects executed with the methodology of Earned Value, to site visits to collect Live information on analysis, debate and decision making based on the Earned Value Methodology, from surveys to civil engineers experts in project execution,. The results obtained indicate that the control of projects is the main problem in the execution of a work and that the Earned Value methodology allows a greater detail of analysis for the opportune decision making by which it is concluded that the methodology of the Earned Value to through its control activities, performance indicators of term (SPI) and cost (CPI) if it allows the control of the scope, term and cost of the projects in the land movement items in Mining Units.
