The thesis consist of an explanation of a strategic plan, and the improvement of the heating and air conditioning control system, through the updating of the system Building Automation System (B.A.S/BMS), at the tropical diseases research center of America in Peru whit Insight on Siemens this system is an application of specialized software to operate on computers and other field devices for the monitoring and control of any system or installation at a distance. The project development stage is also shown with an objective that provides the steps for the institution to implement and achieve the strategic plan. the short term objective consist of describing the advantages of modernizing this system; through the continuous monitoring of faults produced during this operation, we analyze an plan the change using engineering tools, such as Ishikawa, Pareto, Gantt, among others to be able to support this migration. This implies an economic commitment investment in all areas to make it possible; this improvement would later bring benefits in terms of operation of equipment 24 hours without interruptions, maintenance planning, and would lead to economic savings, which are much needed to maintain research funds. Finally, this improvement will benefits the company because is considerably reduces breakdowns of the air conditioners due to easy detection of faults by means of a graphic environment that communicates to the operator of the current state of the system.
