ABSTRACT The present research has as general objective to propose the application of the BPM (Business Process Management) methodology, to improve the reading process of electric household power meters, in the company Cobra Peru S.A., in 2017. In order to achieve the general objective, and knowing that the process under analysis is an existing process, the process was lifted, process documentation, improvement analysis (AS IS), process design (TO BE), and finally proposed indicators of process. At the stage of the process documentation, the process diagram was elaborated using the Bizagi Modeler (Bizagi, 2016), which follows the BPMN 2.0 (Business Process Modeling Notation) standard. This process consists of recognizing through this tool the actual situation of the company, also recognizing within the flow activities that do not give value to the process and which suggests a redesign of certain activities of the process that allow us to suggest changes in the improvement of the service Among the results of this research and using the BPM (Business Process Management) methodology, it was observed that the time taken for all the activity of the day is 20h 22m 22s. And that, based on the BPM tool, we reduced 4 hours, 20 minutes, 45 seconds, improving it by 21.33% of the initial time. We also reduced our monthly expenses by 8.37% with a value of S /. 8 083.46 nuevos soles Finally, it was concluded that the proposed improvement improves the time and cost of the reading process of home electric energy meters, which indicates that the improvement proposal is economically profitable..
