Access to financial services constitutes a fundamental tool for fostering economic and social development, particularly for women seeking to engage in independent entrepreneurial activities. This study examines the impact of financial inclusion on entrepreneurship among unemployed women in Peru, using a pooled cross-sectional dataset from 2020 to 2023. Based on a theoretical model grounded in the expected utility of entrepreneurship, the analysis explores factors such as access to financial products, entrepreneurial skills, and the risks inherent in business activities. In Peru, the relationship between financial inclusion and female entrepreneurship has been little studied, underscoring the relevance of this research. The findings show that financial services facilitate the development of independent businesses, although their impact varies depending on educational level and geographic context. The study concludes that financial inclusion should be complemented by educational policies and infrastructure improvements to maximize its effect in rural areas and less advantaged contexts. This research provides key evidence for designing strategies that promote the economic autonomy of women in the country.
