Professional interpreting is a discipline that adapts to the speed of technological progress. Within this framework, students should build solid linguistic, cultural, and digital proficiency through continuous, personalized training. Hence, self-learning is a prevailing practice among undergraduate interpreters using ICT as an allied tool. This paper gathers the perceptions of interpreting students at the Peruvian University of Applied Science (UPC) on using ICT as tools for self-learning. In the context of higher education, undergraduate students of professional interpreting adopt ICT to enhance their interpretive skills and do collaborative jobs with other classmates. Also, ICT implementation responds to an ongoing digitalization where technological resources are abundant and promote self-learning. In addition, ICT allows interpreters to exercise at their own pace, promoting autonomy and self-regulation. This paper emphasizes the role of ICT in self-learning as a support to professional interpreters in training. ICT implementation redesigns interpreting studies to be on the forefront of innovative technologies and promotes professional skills development in a digital environment.
