The present research had as its general objective to identify the lifestyles and nutritional status of medical interns at the Luis N. Sáenz Police Hospital - 2024. The research method was deductive, with a quantitative approach, of applied type, non-experimental design of cross-section and descriptive level. The population of the study will be composed of the 125 inmates of the Luis N. Sáenz Police Hospital, using the entire population for the sample of this study. Regarding lifestyles, 49.6% report healthy practices, while 41.6% follow unhealthy habits and 8.8% present unhealthy practices. Although women tend to adopt healthier practices, no statistically significant differences were found between sexes. No association was found between inmates' gender and the categories of lifestyle practices. However, regarding lifestyle beliefs, only the category related to "fitness, physical activity and sport" showed an association with gender, while the other categories did not present this relationship. It was concluded that, although almost half of the inmates have a normal weight and report healthy practices, there is a significant prevalence of overweight and obesity, with an influence of the type of rotation in beliefs about physical activity. Inmates who are worse off with respect to their nutritional status do not recognize themselves in their worse condition; that is, they do not treat themselves as patients.
