This research analyzes the implementation of dual training programs in the countries of Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru, and their effect on the creation of shared value between TVET education institutions and companies. The study uses a descriptive nonexperimental and cross-sectional design. The sample includes 5 TVET educational institutions, 19 financial companies and 127 graduates of the dual financial program. Questionnaires based on the EELI (Education-Employment Linkage Index) were administered to 205 program managers to measure the linkage process between the education and employment systems. The questionnaires covered the phases of curriculum design, implementation and updating. In addition, surveys were applied to collect information on employability, economic income, and relevance of employment for graduates. The results show that dual training strengthens the link between educational institutions and companies. The results of the EELI index are higher than the international average in three of the four countries. The curriculum application phase stands out with the best results, and the curriculum design and updating phases present opportunities for improvement. Graduates show better results than young people in general, with lower unemployment rates (except for Colombia), higher income and greater relevance of their education to their current employment. This research concludes that dual training is an educational modality that creates shared value between the educational institutions and the companies in this study. It allows improvements in the employability, remuneration and relevance of the education of young people who participated in the dual program of financial advisor. Dual training allows TVET institutions and companies to link, reducing gaps between the education and employment systems. The research contributes to the literature on dual training in Latin America. The findings can contribute to the development of educational and business policies that encourage the implementation of dual training as a strategy for the creation of shared value.
