The objective of this research was to describe and analyze the perception of parental involvement in parents whose children receive virtual classes at the primary level of basic education; and as a specific objective, to analyze how different the perceptions of parental involvement of children with low and high school performance are. To this end, a qualitative study was developed, in which 4 parents whose daughters recorded high academic performance (AR group) and 4 parents whose daughters recorded low academic performance (BR group) were interviewed. The results showed that the mother figure is the one who shows greater involvement and participation with the children and the father figure shows greater involvement in respecting their participation in school events, since they perceive that as their children grow, develop greater responsibility and autonomy in academic duties. Furthermore, in the virtual context, communication and interaction between parents or caregivers and children predominated through interest and the acquisition of greater knowledge about those learning difficulties in minors and, in turn, was strengthened by family ties.
