The application case study is taken from the book Gabion Manual by Camargo Hernández (2001), in which the input properties, both for the soil, the fill and the gabion, are already defined, as well as the parameters of the wall such as the height of 4 meters, the base width of 3 meters, the crown width of 1 meter, the wall inclination of 6°, the terrain inclination of 0° and the terrain overload of 29.43 kN/m2 . Based on them, the parametric geometric study of the ground load, angle of inclination of the wall, and the angle of inclination of the ground is carried out, all of them as parameters chosen to analyze them through two study methods. In order to validate the case study, an objective comparison of the defined variables is carried out between the analytical method, for which the necessary formulas for its application are obtained after reviewing the literature, and the GEO5 limit equilibrium method, the which uses the methods of limit state, safety factor and internal stability analysis, in order to obtain the calculation of stability against sliding, overturning, overturning coefficient, normal forces, eccentricity, resistant and active forces, sliding coefficient, maximum stress and bearing capacity. Finally, the variation of the already validated parameters is analyzed, for which a specific parameter is varied, and the others remain with the values of the case study. Thus, the angle of inclination of the wall ranges from 0° to 12°, the inclination of the terrain from 0° to 24° and the overload of the terrain from 0 kN/m2 to 117.68 kN/m2 ; all of them carried out by the two mentioned methods, in order to define the parameters that provide greater security and resistance in the design of this type of walls.
