This work aims to review the empirical data from investigations that address the relationship between job satisfaction and the syndrome, analyzing data to build knowledge about the relationship between both variables. The articles of interest were found following the indications of PRISMA guide (Urrútia and Bonfill, 2013). The databases consulted were Scopus, Proquest, Alicia and Scielo. Quantitative studies evaluating the relationship between job satisfaction and Burnout syndrome (n = 8) were selected for analysis. In general, high Burnout syndrome scores were related to a low level of job satisfaction. Future research should propose correlational or explanatory scopes; larger and more diverse samples should also be considered.
