The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between job satisfaction and burnout syndrome in health staff. The methodology is carried out using recent research from the scientific literature in Scopus, Scielo, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Pubmed and Science Direct of quantitative studies that evaluate the relationship between the job satisfaction construct and the presence of burnout. For the applied review analysis, seven articles were included which analyze the relationship between job satisfaction and burnout syndrome in health professionals. The analyzed studies reported a negative correlation between the job satisfaction and burnout syndrome. Furthermore, the variables are affected by factors such as working conditions and physical environment. In this sense, a negative correlation is established between burnout syndrome and job satisfaction. Thus, it is interpreted that the lower the job satisfaction, the higher the burnout syndrome among health staff.
