deberán comprar, y las horas hombres requeridas de todos los trabajadores de la empresa;
This research involves the design and evaluation of a proposal to improve the production area of the company BERR Textil Perú S.A.C. through the application of 5S. Between 2018 and 2019, the percentage of defective meters of printed fabrics obtained increased by 8,5%, even though production was lower. Consequently, a decrease in productivity was generated due to the increase of costs by unplanned production. When evaluating the current situation, a high level of disorder and lack of cleanliness were found in the production area and warehouses, which obstructs the flow in the transit and operations areas. In addition, the non-existence of documented operations instructions was identified, as well as the absence of formal training, so the operators perform the tasks according to their experience or ease. This situation has negatively affected the quality of the products obtained, increasing the number of defective meters of printed fabrics. After making the diagnosis, it was decided to propose the implementation of the 5S methodology in the production areas and warehouses, to instill a culture of order and cleanliness, standardize production tasks and promote continuous improvement. At last, for the economic evaluation of the proposal, an investment of S/ 24 150 was estimated, considering all the organizational elements that must be purchased, and the man hours required of all the company's workers, obtaining as a result an NPV of S/ 25 741 and a recovery period of 4 months.
