The following pre-feasibility study has as its main objective to demonstrate the economic, technical, social and environmental viability for the installation of an industrial plant for strawberry compotes fortified with maca, cañihua and whey. By making this product, it is intended to offer a healthy eating alternative, with high protein and energy value, that can be consumed between snacks and is easy to carry. The fortified strawberry compote is aimed at people of socioeconomic level B and C, between 18 and 45 years of age who reside in Metropolitan Lima. To determine the demand for the project, a survey was conducted with the target audience and the result was a per capita consumption of 1.7 containers of compote per week, thus having a demand of 1,485,002 containers for the first year of the project. Each container contains 160 grams of strawberry compote fortified with maca, cañihua and whey. For the location of the industrial plant, factors such as raw material supply, proximity to the market, availability of labor, drinking water, electricity and industrial parks were analyzed. Based on this, it was concluded that Lima is the best location for the industrial plant, since our target audience is located in this department, with the highest strawberry production and availability of labor. Regarding the micro location, Huachipa obtained the highest score in the evaluation due to the availability of industrial parks and the cost of land. The size of the plant is determined by the demand for compotes in 2025, equivalent to 3,502,905 containers. The factors of technology, investment and productive resources are not limiting to cover the demand of the project. The installed capacity of the plant is 716,331 kg of compote (4,477,069 containers) with a projected demand for the year 2025 of 3,502,905 containers. The installed capacity is limited by the mixing operation, being the bottleneck in the production process. The total investment amounts to 3,431,045 nuevos soles, which will be financed 40% by own capital and 60% by the bank. Likewise, in the economic and financial evaluation it has been determined that the economic VAN (2,314,911 soles) and the financial VAN (2,740,243 soles) are greater than 0, therefore, it is concluded that the project is viable. This is strengthened by the economic TIR (37.63%) and the financial TIR (55.06%) that are higher than the cost of capital (COK) which is 20%. Finally, the payback period in the economic evaluation is 4.40 years and in the financial evaluation it is 3.48 years.
