This present study entitled "Socioeconomic factors related to the appearance of disease of the acute diarrhea in pediatric emergency at Sergio Bernales National Hospital in the first half of 2015", seeks to determine the relationship between the socioeconomic factors and the appearance of disease of the acute diarrhea in pediatric emergency at Sergio Bernales National Hospital in the first half of 2015. This study was focused on a quantitative approach. A descriptive and cross sectional method was performed with a correlational desing. The sample was prepared for 46 parents of the children that were being treated in pediatric emergency care area at Sergio Bernales Hospital in the first half of 2015. The survey consisted of 12 questions per each variable and it was conducted among the parents at the Hospital. Data were processed and the result obtained was as follows: 8.70% of the parents show a high level. 54.35% shows a medium level and 36.96% shows a low level. 34.78% of the parents shows us that there is a high level according to the second variable of the study: the appearance of the disease of acute diarrhea. A Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient of 0.05 (p=0.000) was obtained for the standardized score of the questionnaire and as a result the socioeconomic factors are direct and positive related to the variable of disease of the acute diarrhea.
