This study aimed to determine the relationship between resilience and coping styles used to manage stress in drug-dependent patients undergoing rehabilitation at a Therapeutic Community in Metropolitan Lima. It was conducted using a quantitative, correlational, and non-experimental design, with a sample of 60 male residents. The Resilience Scale (RS) by Wagnild & Young (1993) and the Coping Strategies Questionnaire (COPE) by Carver et al. (1989) were applied. The results showed that resilience had no relationship with stress-coping styles, whether focused on the problem, emotion, or other approaches. Additionally, it was observed that 61.7% of participants exhibited moderate resilience. The most commonly employed coping strategies were positive reinterpretation and seeking support from the social environment, while the least used were denial and maladaptive behaviors. It was concluded that the two study variables functioned independently, although the possibility of their relationship with other attributes was not ruled out.
