The objective was to determine the relationship between pharmaceutical counseling and the treatment of musculoskeletal pain in adults. Method. The study was basic, non-experimental design, hypothetical deductive method, cross-sectional, descriptive correlational scope, quantitative approach, sample of 186 people, simple random probabilistic sampling, data was collected through a survey using a questionnaire, Rho de Spearman to test the hypothesis. Results. Of 186 people, 60.8% were women, 80.1% were between 30-40 years old. Information provided by the Pharmaceutical Chemist; 50.5% received information about the disease, 62.4% about the medication. Care received from the Pharmaceutical Chemist 76.9% received care with quality and warmth; 50.5% provided written instructions. Perception of pharmaceutical counseling 81.2% generated a feeling of security and well-being; 77.4% helped to better understand the disease and therapy. Location of pain, 67.2% presented headache and between 40% and 47.8% presented pain in the neck, shoulders, spine, hip, feet and knee. Interruption of activities 40.9% presented absenteeism from work; between 53.2% and 63.4% presented a decrease in work production, household chores and interruption of sleep. Pharmacotherapy of musculoskeletal pain 55.4% used non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; 16.1% anticonvulsants; between 45.2% and 57% used tramadol, muscle relaxants and corticosteroids. Spearman's Rho correlation was -0.295 indicating low negative correlation. Conclusion. Pharmaceutical counseling had a low negative correlation with the treatment of musculoskeletal pain in adults who go to a pharmacy in the Breña district, 2023.
