The research aimed to determine the relationship between diabetes mellitus and lifestyle in the population of Vipol-San Martin De Porres. Methodology: the study employed a “hypotheticaldeductive method, a quantitative approach, and was an applied, non-experimental, cross-sectional design at a correlational level”. The sampling was random, probabilistic, and simple, with a sample size of 172 citizens. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using the SPSS version 23 statistical program. Results showed a relationship between diabetes mellitus and diet, with a correlation of (r=0.33). Regarding socio-demographic levels, there was no relationship as the indicator showed a weak inverse relationship. There is a relationship between associated factors and lifestyle, with a bilateral significance of 0.049, rejecting the null hypothesis and accepting the alternative. Conclusion: It was concluded that there is a positive relationship with a bilateral significance (<0.049) and a correlation (Spearman’s rho=0.000) between diabetes mellitus and lifestyle in the population of Vipol-San Martin De Porres 2022
