Objective: Determine the relationship between human resources management and the work performance of nursing staff in the hospitalization service. Material and Methods: hypothetical deductive. Quantitative. Applied, non-experimental study design, Observational, Correlational, Cross-sectional, explanatory scope. The population of 200 nurses who work in the hospitalization service of the Sergio E. Bernales National Hospital (HNSEB) is a census-type sample. Survey technique used, validated instruments. Results: The female population of the nursing staff predominated over the male population by 87.5%. In turn, the group included in the age range 40 to 49 years of nursing staff exceeds the rest of the groups by 53%, followed by the age range 30 to 39 years represented by 35%. In relation to Human Resources Management, it is observed that the Incorporation dimension is low, with 72.5% of the nursing staff presenting between 12.5% of never and 60% of almost never. The Training dimension is low, with 77.5% of the nursing staff presenting between 45% of never and 32.5% of almost never. The Evaluation dimension is low, with 81% of the nursing staff presenting between 35% of never and 46% of almost never. The Incentives dimension is low, presenting 79.5% of the nursing staff between 42% of never and 37.5% of almost never. Conclusions: the specific hypotheses are statistically significant, with the Chi-square Test < 0.001 (𝜌=0.005) with the relationship between human resources management and work performance of the Hospitalization service.
