Objective: To evaluate whether in the workers of the Provincial Municipality of Ascope of the La Libertad Region, work stress is associated with sociodemographic, family, work and clinical factors during the period from August to November 2022. Material and method: An observational, analytical, cross-sectional study was performed in 90 workers from the Provincial Municipality of Ascope in La Libertad between August and November 2022. The dependent variable was the level of stress and the potential associated factors were grouped into sociodemographic, family , work and clinics. Data collection was carried out through the application of a data collection sheet that was prepared for this research, which included the variables and the OIT- WHO Work Stress Questionnaire. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used, with a measure of association of Prevalence Ratio, 95% CI, and p<0.05 for significant association. Results: 90 workers with an average age of 38.79 SD: 9.57 years were evaluated. The average score obtained was 110.27 SD: 4.82. 56.67% (n=51) had work stress, of which 29.41% (n=15) were male, and 92.16% (n=47) had a partner. A significant association was found for the partner tenure variable crudely ( PRc: 3.58; IC: 1.28-9.93, p=0.014) and independent ( PRa: 3.53; IC: 1.25-9.93; p=0.017). Conclusions: Having a partner is associated with work stress. It is recommended to focus stress coping interventions on this group.
