The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of self-perceived employability on the job placement of graduates from a private university, Chiclayo, 2023. This study is of a causal correlational type, with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The sample is made up of 290 graduates from 18 professional careers and with 2 years of degree. For the information collection process, the Self-perceived Employability Scale was used, developed by Rothwell and Arnold (2007), adapted to Spanish by Peña (2017) and validated in Peru by Zuta (2020); and the own Labor Insertion Survey. The results reveal that, at a general level, self-perceived employability influences positively (β=.141; R2=.020) and significantly (p<.05) on labor insertion, and, at the level of dimensions, it influences significantly (p<.05) and positively on access to employment (β=.136; R2=.019), access to a contract with good characteristics (β=.122; R2=.015) and subjective assessment (β=.135; R2=.018); however, it does not have a significant influence (p>.05) on access to a job suitable for their training. It is concluded that self-perceived employability is an important factor to consider in the labor insertion of graduates of a private university, Chiclayo 2023
