A substantive research was carried out, with correlational design between the Health Control Locus and Stress Coping to determine their relationship, in cancer patients of a hospital in Trujillo. For this purpose, a sample of 53 cancer patients, aged between 30 and 70 years, of both genders receiving treatment using the Wallston, Wallston and Develli (1978) Multidimensional Scale of Health Control Locus and the Questionnaire Of Stress Coping in Cancer Patients (CAEPO) de Gonzales (2004). The results show that an average level predominates in the dimensions of the Locus of Health Control, with percentages of collaborators that register this level that oscillate between 37.7% and 49.1%. On the other hand, an average level of stress coping predominates, with percentages of cancer patients reaching this level ranging from 39.6% to 50.9%. As for relational analysis, a very significant and positive correlation was found Middle level, between the Locus of Health Control and the Facing to Stress.
