Objective: To determine if there is an association between insomnia, anxiety and depression in cancer patients at Hospital of high complexity Virgen de la Puerta. Material and Methods: An analytical, observational, retrospective, cross sectional study was carried out. The study population consisted of 212 adult oncological patients; Which were divided into 2 groups: with insomnia or without insomnia; The odds ratio and chi-square test were calculated. Results: The frequency of insomnia in cancer patients with or without anxiety was 39% and 10%, respectively. Insomnia is a factor associated with anxiety in cancer patients with an odds ratio of 5.92 which was significant (p <0.05). The frequency of insomnia in cancer patients with or without depression was 44% and 12%, respectively. Insomnia is a factor associated with depression in cancer patients with an odds ratio of 6.21 which was significant (p <0.05). Conclusions: There is an association between insomnia, anxiety and depression in oncological patients of Hospital of high complexity Virgen de la Puerta.
