The purpose of the current research was to analyse the relation between the physical self-concept and risks and psychological indications of eating disorders in students of a pre-university center of Trujillo; the sample was conformed by a total of 300 students of both sexes between 16 and 18 years. There were used the Physical Self-Concept Questionnaire and the Eating disorder Inventory. According to the results there was found a medium grade and highly significant negative correlation between the physical self-concept and risks and psychological indications of eating disorders. In conclusion the highest percentage of students are in a tipical clinical range in the following scales: Physical insatisfaction, fear of maturity and ascetism, while in the other variables predominates a low clinical range.
