Abstract: Determinar los factores de riesgo asociados a amenaza de aborto en el Hospital de Especialidades Básicas La Noria.
Material y Métodos: Se llevó a cabo un estudio de tipo, analítico, observacional, retrospectivo, de casos y controles. La población de estudio estuvo constituida por 545 gestantes según criterios de inclusión y exclusión establecidos, distribuidos en dos grupos: con y sin amenaza de aborto.
Resultados: El análisis estadístico sobre las variables en estudio como factores de riesgo de amenaza de aborto fueron : Antecedente de aborto (OR: 2.53; p<0.05), uso de anticonceptivos hormonales (OR: 2.87; p<0.05), antecedente de pielonefritis (OR: 2.11; p<0.05), exposición a bebidas alcohólicas (OR: 4.05; p>0.05).
Conclusiones: El antecedente de aborto, el uso de anticonceptivos hormonales y el antecedente de pielonefritis son factores de riesgo asociados a amenaza de aborto. La exposición de bebidas alcohólicas no es factor de riesgo asociado a amenaza de aborto.

The study population was conformed for 545 pregnant women by inclusion and exclusion criteria distributed into 2 groups: with and without threatened miscarriage. Results: Statistical analysis about associated risk factors to threatened miscarriage were: history of miscarriage (OR: 2.53; p<0.05), use of hormonal contraceptives (OR: 2.87; p<0.05), history of pyelonephritis (OR: 2.11; p<0.05), exposure to alcoholic beverages (OR: 4.05; p>0.05). Conclusions: History of miscarriage, use of hormonal contraceptives and history of pyelonephritis were risk factors associated to threatened miscarriage. Exposure to alcoholic beverage was not a risk factor associated to threatened miscarriage
