Determine if trombocitopenia has value like predictor to neonatal sepsis in Regional Hospital Pucallpa. Material and methods: Retrospective, observational, diagnosis test study to aplicate in 166 newborns with suspected to sepsis. We calculated the sensivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive value of trombocitopenia. We calculated the chi square test. Results: Sensibility, especificity, negative and positive predictive value to trombocitopenia were: 68%, 87%, 78% y 79%. respectively. Germs more frequently discovered were: Echerichia coli (27%); Klebsiella pneumoniae (25%); Streptococo agalactiae (22%) and Estafilococo aureus (16%). Conclusions: Trombocitopenia has value like predictor to neonatal sepsis. Trombocitopenia is associated significatively with infection by gran negative germs in neonatal sepsis
