This research aimed to determine the relationship between family functionality and compliance with chemotherapy treatment in cancer patients of the Oncology service of the José Cayetano Heredia Regional Hospital, 2017. The design was correlational. The sample consisted of 67 patients from the Oncology Service. The data collection was carried out using 2 questionnaires: the FF SIL instrument with 14 closed questions and the Adhesion Scale of Morisky, Green and Levine consisting of 4 questions. The results conclude: Regarding the overall objective, there is a significant relationship between family functionality and compliance with the treatment of chemotherapy patients of the Oncology service. José Cayetano Heredia Regional Hospital, Piura 2017 of measured intensity (X2-0.647, p-0.000, alpha-0.05). Regarding specific target 2, 40% (27 participants) were found to have a functional family, 30% (20 participants) had family with family dysfunction, and 30% (20 participants) families with severe dysfunction. 49% of patients (33 participants) did not comply with chemotherapy treatment and 51% (34 participants) did comply.
