The present investigation, ROAD MANAGEMENT MODEL IN CONSERVATION BY LEVELS OF SERVICE WITH THE HDM-4 METHODOLOGY IN THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY: PUENTE CUMBILCATACHE, ROUTE PE-6B, had as a study problem to determine an optimal model of road management, since the section under study presents a deficient road management model, does not meet what is specified in the current conservation regulations, which is reflected in the current state of the road (potholes, cracks, erosion of the lower slope, etc.) not meeting the priority needs, causing the deterioration of the pavement, leading to the discomfort of users and carriers who make use of the road, causing the discomfort of users and carriers who make use of it. ) not attending the priority needs, causing the deterioration of the pavement, leading to the discomfort of the users and carriers that make use of the road. In this sense, the most optimal conservation model has been proposed considering components of: management, improvement, conservation, costs, tools such as the HDM-4, which serve to predict and prevent future deterioration in the road infrastructure of the corridor: Cumbil-Catache Bridge (Km.0+000 - Km. 32+000). In this investigation the methodology of the Inventory of Condition (MTC) has been used, it was obtained that the road under study, according to its state of conservation is regular, and the type of intervention corresponds to a PERIODIC CONSERVATION, Likewise, the most appropriate routine maintenance activities have been defined for the road and according to the need of the same, it was obtained that the IMD of 2022 is 160, while in 2037 it will be 267 vehicles/day, therefore the road is classified as: third class road, the IRI measurement has been made and it is indicated that for the section under study it is 5, and according to the standard scale used by the World Bank an IRI of 5 was obtained, using the HDM- 4 tool, the best alternative from the technical and economic point of view referred to the wearing course of the road under study, is the micro surfacing, with everything investigated and obtained in this research is intended to improve the living conditions of users promoting the development of the country.
