This study sought to determine the relationship between family violence and social skills in adolescents of the Alfredo Tello Salavarria Educational Institution - Trujillo, 2019. The sample consisted of 73 adolescents. Among the results obtained according to age, we found that 35.25% were between 12 to 14 years old, and on the other, 65.75% were between 15 and 17 years old. Regarding sex, 54.79% were female and 45.21% were male, in relation to the type of family, 52.05% came from a nuclear family, 28. 77% from an extended family, 12.33% from a single parent and 6.85% from a family assembled. According to the levels of family violence, 94.52% of adolescents presented a low level of violence; 5.48%, medium level and no high level, in relation to its dimensions it was presented, physical violence 1.37% high level, psychological violence 84.93% low level and physical violence 5.48% medium level and sexual violence 100% low level. In Social Skills, 41.10% of the adolescents presented high and average social skills respectively, and 17.82% low social skills. In relation to its dimensions, it was presented, assertiveness 80.82% high, communication 72.60% high, self-esteem 89.04% high and decision making 50.68% high. The Chi-square statistical test was 4.28 and the p-value of 0.117, it is concluded that there is no relationship between family violence and social skills in adolescents of the Alfredo Tello Salavarria Educational Institution - Trujillo 2019.
