The following research project is carried out with the aim of defining how the application of the BIM methodology improves the development of the design and conservation of a road, which will allow obtaining effective, economical and sustainable solutions over time, this project is developed in the neighborhood road AN – 105 joins the AN-102, El Castillo, district of Chimbote, province of Santa, Áncash. The main problem of this research was to apply the BIM methodology for the design and conservation of a road, through the use of computer software. A point to highlight for the development of this project was to observe the demographic growth of rural areas and in turn the economic growth due to the items to which the inhabitants of this area are dedicated, such as agriculture, livestock and industry. In order to determine the exact characteristics of the local road, a topographical survey of the entire section under study has been proposed, this is done with the purpose of obtaining the exact data and characteristics of the areas, which will be processed by the appropriate software for obtaining the results. The results that were obtained applied to the BIM methodology in the design and conservation part help to be able to visualize the road in a clear and realistic way and to be able to locate possible faults that can be generated, for the verification and the final design of the road, the Civil 3D computer software. Applying this methodology correctly reduces geometric design time and makes it easier to observe flaws, which allows determining a precise and lasting conservation plan
