Objective: To determine if rheumatoid arthritis is a risk factor for Meniere’s disease in adults at the Albrecht Hospital in Trujillo. Material and Method: Case-control study, in which 41 patients with Meniere’s disease were evaluated, for the case group and 82 patients without this pathology, for the control group, who have completed clinical histories. that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria defined for this research. For the analysis of the data obtained, the x2 test is used, and Student's t-test, to evaluate the risk association between the variables, the Odds ratio is used. Results: In the group of patients with Meniere’s disease, it was found that the mean age was 61.6 years (From: 11.8), 70.7% were female, 85.4% came from the coastal region, 65.9% had migraine. 7.3% presented rheumatoid arthritis but no association with Meniere’s disease was found (p>0.05). Conclusion: Rheumatoid arthritis is not a risk factor for Meniere’s disease.
