This research aimed to determine the relationship between maternal sociodemographic factors and children's attendance at retinopathy controls of prematurity. Lambayeque Regional Hospital - 2017. The research is correlational descriptive. The sample universe was made up of 147 mothers. Two instruments were used to collect the data: the maternal sociodemographic factors questionnaire and the retinopathy of prematurity control assistance format. The results obtained on the sociodemographic factors were that 25.2% are between 20 and 24 years old; 37.4% have a cohabiting civil status; 31.3% their educational level is secondary; 38.1% have a single child; 37.4% are housewives; 61.2% have a nuclear family structure; 74.1% live in an urban residence area and, as for knowledge, 60.5% is regular. Regarding children's attendance at retinopathy controls of prematurity, the obtained results are that 78.2% do not attend and 21.8% attend. When relating maternal sociodemographic factors and children's attendance to retinopathy controls of prematurity, we have that only the age factor is dependent on the assistance variable since the Pearson's chi-square value is 9,877, which is higher in relation to the 9.45 of the likelihood ratio, that is, there is a significant relationship only in that variable.
