The objective of the study is to analyze the main causes of the deficient valuation of municipal solid waste at the national level in order to propose, develop, and validate a set of solutions using PDCA and 5S improvement methods that, together, provide an economically viable and sustainable proposal model over time. To achieve this, the processes of the public cleaning sub-manager in the Municipality of San Juan de Lurigancho, responsible for the collection, transportation, and final disposal of solid waste, will be analyzed. The method used will initially allow for the analysis of the problem, discovery of the main causes using quality tools, and the creation of an action plan that includes corrective actions to eliminate the root cause and solve the problem. Then, the proposed solutions in the plan will be put into practice to validate and guarantee their success. In addition, the 5S method will be implemented to improve efficiency, order, and cleanliness in the workplace, and continuous improvement practices will be applied through the PDCA process to maintain the sustainability of the proposed solutions over time. The ultimate goal is to improve the valuation of municipal solid waste and contribute to the sustainable development of the country.
