The potato, which is the most consumed tuber worldwide and the third most important food crop globally, has a significant presence in Peru. However, despite its high demand, the Peruvian agricultural sector faces serious challenges due to various factors, such as a lack of significant improvements in processes and the persistence of traditional practices among many farmers. This results in low productivity and deficiencies in production process planning, which hinders market competitiveness and leads to substantial economic losses. In this context, the present research focuses on Barranca, one of the main potato-growing centers in the Lima region. The research has shown that Barranca plays a prominent role in potato production in the region. To address these issues, a model for planning, controlling, and executing potato production is proposed, specifically designed for the farmers of Vinto Roncador, Peru, based on good agricultural practices and Lean Production methodology. This model aims to enhance productivity by improving the production process, thus increasing the competitiveness of local farmers, reducing economic losses, and improving their incomes.
