The present research focused on analyzing the relationship between the variables motivation and productivity in the context of economic crisis in the financial sector in Metropolitan Lima in 2023, so it has a non-experimental design since the variables were not manipulated and it was only observed in a natural context. Likewise, the quantitative approach was adopted, using a Likert scale survey as an instrument for data collection that was carried out at a specific time of the research (cross-sectional design). A population analysis of the personnel working in banks was carried out in order to obtain a study sample, then the questionnaire was applied to the selected sample and as a result of the inferential statistical analysis it was obtained that the variables motivation and productivity have a moderate positive correlation. The findings support the importance of work motivation in productivity during adverse situations, and it also highlights that both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation influence work productivity. In this regard, the importance of generating healthy and flexible work environments was highlighted, implementing effective strategies to improve the performance of workers in the financial sector, especially in crisis contexts such as the COVID-19 pandemic, to promote motivation and, consequently, increase employee productivity.
