The purpose of this research was to reduce the time spent by a retail company publishing footwear products on its website, using Design Thinking and Total Quality Management methodologies, which allowed for the products to be displayed on the e-commerce site in a timely and appropriate manner, thus avoiding losses in unrealized sales due to delays and customers choosing to buy from the competition. With Design Thinking, it was possible to understand all the facets of the problem, knowing the perspectives of all internal and external stakeholders in order to propose a solution that benefits all the actors in the process. Meanwhile, with Total Quality Management, it was possible to restructure the previous flow, standardize the process and the forms used by the supplier, in addition to creating a culture of quality and continuous improvement. As a result, the time to publish products was reduced by 41.5%, and reprocessing due to errors and incomplete information sent by the supplier was minimized. Additionally, the product creation sheet was standardized and all suppliers in the category were trained to be aligned with the new flow to follow. In conclusion, this work allows unifying two innovative methodologies in the solution of a problem in the retail sector for a sales channel that is growing due to digitalization. With this, it is expected that future studies can take this model as a reference for companies with similar problems.
