This research aims to determine the relationship between resilience and self-esteem and compare the gender scores in psychology students from single-parent families. The associative strategy was used with a simple correlational design. Sociodemographic data of 131 university students were collected, between the ages of 18 and 27 (M=22.60). The Resilience Scale (ER) and the Self-Esteem Scale (EAR) were applied. The research design is correlational and non-probability snowball sampling type. Descriptive, comparative and correlational statistics were obtained. Positive correlations were found between Resilience and Self-Esteem (rw=.18, p <.05). Furthermore, differences were found in terms of gender, in which women are slightly more resilient than men, and men have higher self-esteem than women (p < .05). However, the values were in low magnitude. In conclusion, it is expected the result will contribute to future research.
