This research analyzes the documentary Mile 100 | Blackbeard’s Revenge 100, which narrates Tommy Degs’ experience in a 100-mile ultramarathon in North Carolina. This project is part of a series of documentaries recorded by the video-production company Beige Video, located in Los Angeles, United States. The objective of this research is to analyze the narrative elements, audiovisual language, and technologies used to realize this audiovisual project, which seeks to highlight the importance of remote collaboration in the audiovisual field. For the realization of the documentary, production teams in the United States and postproduction in Peru were coordinated using digital tools such as Frame.io, Google Drive, and Asana. Constant communication between the teams allowed us to overcome geographical barriers and optimize the workflow through the use of different technologies. This research is based on theoretical approaches from authors such as Syd Field, Robert McKee, and Bordwell & Thompson to demonstrate the applied professional skills and explore new possibilities in remote collaborative audiovisual production.
