The objective of the study was to identify the relation between happiness and meaning in life, in young adults from Metropolitan Lima, in the context of pandemic and political uncertainty. The investigation is based on an associative strategy, with a simple correlational design. Through a convenience sample, 145 participants, 56.2% (n = 81) male and 43.8% (n = 64) female, between the ages of 25 and 35 (M = 28, DE = 3.03), who are residents of Lima and have completed their higher education, were evaluated. The Happiness Scale of Lima by Alarcón (2006) (α = .916) and the Purpose in Life Test (PIL Test) by Crumbaugh & Maholick (1964), adapted to Lima by Bartschi (1999) were applied to these participants. The results showed that the four dimensions of The Happiness Scale of Lima are statistically, in a positive and significant way, correlated with the three dimensions of the Purpose in Life Test. All correlations are of high magnitude, being the highest one (r = .82, p <.001) between the dimensions of Positive Sense of Life (Happiness Scale) and Goals in Life (PIL Test). The lowest correlation (r = .58, p <.001) was between the dimensions of Personal Accomplishment (Happiness Scale) and Satisfaction with Life (PIL Test).
