This study relates Addiction to Social Networks (ARS) and Loneliness in young people residing in Pamplona Alta in the district of San Juan de Miraflores. A total of 168 people between 18 and 24 years of age participated, 52.7% were male, 83.3% use cell phones and 29.6% spend more than hours a day on social networks. From the quantitative approach, this is a cross-sectional research, with an associative strategy and predictive design. The Social Network Addiction and De-Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale (DJGLS) questionnaires were used, and robust measures were used for the statistical calculations; the findings show a positive correlation between both variables (rw = .29), with a moderate magnitude between the Social Network Obsession and Loneliness dimension (rw = .32) and small for the others. On the other hand, in the comparison of groups by amount of time spent on networks, it was found that the group that spends more than 4 hours by day scored higher on all variables.
