In many departments of Peru, buildings are structurally deficient, either because of flaws in their original design or because of the wear and tear of their components over time. This represents a significant risk for the population, since the strength and stability of the building are diminished, which can result in collapse, cracks in key structural elements or even the complete disabling of the building. This work presents the structural design of a church located in Raquia, Ancash, evaluating the application of international seismic parameters in Peruvian regulations. The church does not contemplate a rigid diaphragm, but a metallic gable roof is proposed, configuring an inverted pendulum structure. In the structural analysis, concepts of the E.030 Seismic Resistant Design standard were applied for the calculation of the acceleration spectrum, which allows us to know the behavior of the church in the event of an earthquake. However, since the E.030 standard does not include the basic reduction coefficient Ro for inverted pendulum structures, the ASCE 7-22 standard was adapted, which does include the coefficients required for the structural analysis. The results indicate that the drift in X is 0.008981, and in Y is 0.006668. In addition, the reduction coefficient Ro in X and Y is 1.62. Finally, the structural plans for the Raquia Church were prepared.
