Peruvian agro-exports have driven economic growth, allowing Peru to establish itself as a prominent global supplier (El Peruano, 2023). Grapes, in particular, rank second in the list of exported products in the non-traditional agricultural sector, consolidating themselves as one of the most prominent products (Comex Perú, 2019). It is noteworthy that the Ica region accounts for 46.3% of the cultivated volume, with an average of 27.7 million boxes exported annually during the 2018-2022 campaign (Centro de Investigación de Economía y Negocios Globales [CIEN], 2023). The exported varieties include Sweet Globe, Red Globe, Autumn Crisp, Allison, and Crimson Seedless. Therefore, this study aims to determine the relationship between innovation in agricultural processes applied by companies producing and exporting fresh grapes in the Ica region and their export performance between 2018 and 2022. Three dimensions of agricultural process innovation were evaluated: biotechnology, precision agriculture, and agricultural management technology. Through a mixed approach with a descriptive-correlational design, qualitative and quantitative information was collected through semi-structured interviews with experts from the Peruvian agricultural sector, the private sector, and state entities. Likert scale surveys were also conducted with employees of agricultural companies in the Ica region. Atlas Ti and SPSS software were used to analyze the objectives and validate the hypotheses. The main results showed a direct and positive relationship between agricultural process innovation and its dimensions with export performance.
